The Australian Botanical Research Institute is locate in Melbourne. Our research focuses on green, edible, medicinal and ornamental plants.
Plants are one of the main forms of life on earth. They form a huge part of a complex ecosystem, which is divided into spore and seed plants. Our statistics indicate that with seeds, bryophytes, ferns and fern species, and other plants, it is estimated that there are about 350,000 species in total. Since 2004, 287,655 species of plants have been identified - of which there are approximately 15,000 species of bryophytes and 258,650 species of plant blossoms.
Our main focus at the Australian Botanical Research Institute is to provide economical research on plant extraction technology.
